Purpose: Tray files store information about lots, households, and rooms created or downloaded by players. They enable players to save, share, and place these items within the game.

File Types: The tray files come with different extensions:

.blueprint: Contains information about the lot layout and structure.
.bpi: Stores lot and room data.
.hhi: Holds household data.
.sgi: Contains Sim information.
.trayitem: The main file that links to other files and contains metadata like the lot or household name, description, and preview image.
Location: Tray files are typically found in the "Tray" folder within the Sims 4 user directory. The default path is Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Tray.

Sharing and Downloading: Players can share their creations by sharing the entire set of tray files for a particular lot, household, or room. To download and use shared content, players need to place the tray files in their own "Tray" folder.

Related Files: Custom content (CC) or mods associated with a lot, household, or room are stored separately in the "Mods" folder and need to be transferred along with the tray files for the content to display correctly in the game.
